We recognize that we have a unique responsibility to be good environtmental stewards. Because our industry is so resource intensive, requiring large quanitities of wood, energy, and water to produce paper and inks, it is especially incumbent upon us to protect and preserve those resources for the future of our customers, our business, and the generations to come. It’s simply the right thing to do!

At Vashon Print & Design we really are doing something about it. We use renewable resources with sustainable practices, utilizing eco-friendly materials and powered by green energy. I like to call it "ecoprint" and it's our business standard - "Copies with a Conscience."

Renewable Resources: To start with we stock all our machines with paper that is 100% recycled material made from 100% Post Consumer Waste using 100% Green-e certified renewable energy. We also carry the largest selection of specialty recycled papers on the island. Much of the paper we stock is made exclusively using wind energy from manufactures involved in the sustainable forestry initiative (including our standard white paper we stock in all our machines). The majority of our papers are both acid and chlorine free. And only at Vashon Print & Design can you find these papers on island.

Secondly, we use Biodiesel in the transportation of all our supplies, materials and finished products. With biodiesel our transportation carbon footprint is a mere fraction of what is was when using petrol gasoline. And we provide our own shipping/trasnportation for all materials, products, and merchandise within the Puget Sound area. It's one more stage in our business where we can make a difference for the environment.
